Private donations contribute greatly to the success of the IRC's work. Although we receive state and federal funding for initial resettlement and employment services, the assistance we provide to refugee families beyond their first few months in the U.S. would not be possible without community support.

Mr. Long is a recognizable face to hundreds of refugees in our community. As a caseworker, he has helped families from all over the world rebuild their lives in Seattle. We wish him a happy retirement after 21 years of service at the IRC!

The South Florida Human Trafficking Task Force (SFHTTF) was established in 2018, by the IRC in Miami with support from the Department of Justice and in collaboration with service providers, law enforcement agencies and individuals from the community. The purpose of the SFHTTF is to identify and protect survivors of human trafficking, prosecute traffickers and educate communities across South Florida about the impacts human trafficking has on the community.

In 2025, the IRC’s Anti-Trafficking Program in Miami supported over 50 survivors through a trauma-informed, client-centered approach. The team strengthened services, expanded outreach, and focused on reaching male and labor trafficking survivors, groups often overlooked in traditional models. IRC Miami continues to set a new standard for inclusive, equity-driven care.

The Washington Anti-Trafficking Network (WARN) participated in El Centro de la Raza’s Día de los Muertos event to honor all those who have fought for human rights, social services, and political and environmental justice to shape a better future for the children.
