Nelson - The hands that make a home
Nelson Bulambo, 24, fled his home in the Democratic Republic of Congo after his uncle was killed and his entire family was threatened. Now he's built a new life in Uganda as a barber through an IRC program that helps refugees and migrants overcome barriers to financial stability. Refugees in Europe: A crisis far from over
Up to 300,000 refugees and migrants from Syria, Afghanistan and other war-torn lands have fled to Europe this year, and most have landed on Greece’s eastern islands. Aid workers with the International Rescue Committee have been providing critical aid and services on Lesbos which has struggled to cope with the massive influx of up to 3,000 refugees arriving daily.
